Just 3 short months after her
CIs were activated, Lily has started babbling. Of course I thought this day would never come, but here it is. So far she is just saying "
yah,
yah,
yah" and "
mah,
mah,
mah." It seems to be just random babbling with no meaning at this point. However, at Thanksgiving dinner my aunt asked if she was talking. I told her that Lily was babbling a little. So my aunt starting saying "
mah,
mah,
mah" to her and Lily looked at me. She did that twice. So maybe that shows
comprehension of that sound also. It is so amazing, the little things that make me jump for joy. If Lily had been a hearing baby I'm sure I would have taken for granted the first time she babbled. So much to be thankful for.
It was really exciting to hear...
ReplyDeleteSo excited to hear that Lily is making sonnds!! It is incredible how the smallest things bring us the greatest joy because of the journey that we're on.
ReplyDeleteYay Lily!!! I'm just now getting caught up on your blog and was amazed at how much she's doing! What a little rockstar she is! I thank God everyday for CIs, it's just amazing what our little ones do with them!
ReplyDeleteBTW, we're moving that way this month! My husband got a job out there, we're in the process of closing on a house, and we'll be there right after Christmas! We'll definitely need to plan to meet!
SOO happy to read that! AMEN! And how exciting!! Can't believe Lily is one year already... where does time go?? Miss you!
ReplyDeleteYou go girl!!.....way to go Lily. I remember when Allison started making sounds, it was such a special moment. Pretty soon those sounds will turn into words.
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for you all. We must try and get the kids together again. I know Tammy is looking forward to meeting all of us.
